INTERNSHIPS

Internships are an important part of the Communication student's learning experience. Each student has the opportunity to receive course credit for a semester's work at a pre-approved internship site. Communication students have a track record of providing excellent service to a variety of local media outlets, public relations firms and other businesses.

I have loved my internship at the Baptist Children's Village. It has been neat to apply what I have learned in the classroom into real world situations. I have learned more than I ever expected about public relations and the experience I gained has confirmed my desire to work in this field. - Beth Anne Clark, '08

My internship with the Enrollment Services Department at Mississippi College opened my eyes to the various activities and processes that must take place on a daily basis behind the scenes so that what the public and potential students see is of the highest quality. Even the smallest processes are of utmost importance. It is important to remember that when working in the 'real world.' What we do does matter.
