PUBLIC RELATIONS ASSOCIATION OF MISSISSIPPI MC CHAPTER

The best public relations practitioners in Mississippi are members of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM). PRAM membership consists of approximately 550 public relations professionals from advertising and public relations agencies, corporations, non-profit organizations, government, education, industries and others.

Two MC Communication alumna currently serve as PRAM state officers. Celeste Cade is Public Relations Associate for the Baptist Children's Village in Mississippi and currently serves as PRAM's Vice President for Programs. Pete Smith is Director of Communications for the Mississippi State Department of Education and is the Southern Public Relations Federation Representative for PRAM.

PRAM is a source of expertise and inspiration, and a forum for networking with public relations practitioners throughout the state and the region. Advantages of joining PRAM include:

  • PRAM sponsors an annual workshops/conferences and other special learning and social occasions
  • PRAM conducts the annual PRism Awards
  • PRAM sponsors study programs for Accreditation
  • PRAM fosters greater knowledge of the public relations field
  • PRAM supports the principles and public relations code of ethics
