The Communication Department maintains a video production studio with the latest in video recording and editing equipment. The studio is located in the Learning Resources Center of the Leland Speed Library. Communication students learn to shoot using standard and high-definition video studio and field cameras. Student learn editing principles and techniques on PC and Mac platforms using Apple Final Cut and Avid Media Composer, two industry-standard digital editing systems. Communication students regularly produce materials for classroom assignments and video features for viewing online, including the log-running high school quiz show Academic Competition. Academic Competition can be seen on the MC Channel. |
